This Privacy Policy explains how WorkoutMe (“WorkoutMe,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the WorkoutMe mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile identifier those providers return to us. Authentication is handled by our provider, Supabase. If you use Sign in with Apple’s private relay, we receive only the relay email address.
Content you submit
The core function of WorkoutMe is turning workout videos into structured workouts. When you share a link to a video (for example from TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook), we process that public URL to retrieve and analyze the associated content. We store the workouts we generate from it, along with anything you create or edit yourself: workouts, tags, collections, routines, and records of workouts you mark complete.
Subscription information
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through in-app purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, plan type) through Apple and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, so we can unlock paid features.
Usage and device information
We collect limited technical information needed to operate and improve the Service, such as app version, device type, general diagnostic and crash data, and how features are used. We may use analytics and error-monitoring tools for this purpose.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — including retrieving and analyzing the videos you submit and generating structured workouts.
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
- To process and manage your subscription and enforce plan limits.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How your content is processed
To turn a submitted video into a structured workout, its content is processed through the service providers listed below — for example, transcribing audio and extracting exercises, sets, and instructions. This processing happens to deliver the feature you requested.
Service providers
We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service:
- Supabase — account authentication, database, and file storage.
- Railway — application and backend hosting.
- ScrapeCreators — retrieving publicly available data from the video URLs you submit.
- OpenAI — audio transcription of submitted videos.
- Anthropic — analyzing transcripts and text to structure workouts.
- Apple — in-app purchases and subscription billing.
- RevenueCat — subscription status management.
- Analytics and error-monitoring providers — usage insights and crash diagnostics.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
Data retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, security, or fraud-prevention obligations.
Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@workoutmeapp.com. We will process verified requests promptly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above. Residents of California and the EEA/UK have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA and GDPR respectively; we honor those requests.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
WorkoutMe is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We operate the Service from, and process data in, the United States. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice within the Service.
